So glad to finally see that not everyone is crying over how amazing it was. Can't wait to see how Star Wars: Aftermath will attempt to replace 20 or so novels + comics, while getting us up to speed to this movie.
Meh, Disney could probably release a 10-second clip of Luke Skywalker masturbating in a corner and you'd still get people saying "BEST THING EVAH 10/10!"  ::)

Idk, I originally thought that as well, but that's already been done. At this point I'm just going to enjoy the movie at face value because we have no information on what could happen in this new star wars universe. Gotta wait for 8 months to find out.

I could MAYBE see them trying to have the Emperor survive, but Vader?  Not only did we get to see the body burn, we also got to see his Force ghost.  He's not coming back, methinks.

Yeah that will be interesting.
And from what i heard it seems the Death of the Emperor and Vader are only Rumors.

Jakku looks like its just some graveyard planet, I'm currently trying to figure out what ship that the Falcon flys through is.
Crashed upside-down Executor by the looks of it.  Flying in through one of it's many engines.  The scale's right, and at the bottom of shot you can see hull plating under the sand.

I read from SWU that Boyega is supposedly a stormtrooper gone rogue, not sure what to think of the hangar scene though. I assumed maybe one of the 'good guys' or something stole a tie fighter and the stormies were attempting to take it down. I could be completely wrong though.
I watched the Trailer several times and as i said:
It does seem that Stormtroopers are attacking stormtroopers.
But as you i am not sure.
And that Tie-Fighter does look like it's the one commandered by the Chrome-Trooper.
And with the Chrome-Trooper having all this red, i assume he/she is associated with the Sith.

Of course i could be completly wrong about that, but i built that story in my Head and it won't go away xD

I might have less issue with Disney's take if they hadn't got rid of ttwenty years of books and comics i collected and came to love. It was an insult. People are free to enjoy this version but I will not be among their ranks

I can see where you're coming from there man. It really was a shame, but I don't think theres much else they could do.

Im not so sure about the fragmented Empire, in the one scene where the Tie-Fighter shoots at the Stormtroopers in the Tie Hangar i had the impression as if some of the Stormtroopers in the Background were attacking the ones in the front.
But that was only my impression of this 1 second bit.
And with the Star Destroyer i looked at every Star Destroyer in the Legends-Canon
didn't find any fit, so its something completly, but yeah it does share some similarities with the Harrower Class Dreadnought and the Centurion Class Battlecruiser, both Sith Vessels
which would support your idea that this Empire is a Sith Empire.

Beside that i just had an idea:
As i said:
It seems, that Stormtroopers are attacking stormtroopers, in the scene where the "Chrome" Tie Fighter is in the Hangar.
And there is a Scene where you see Boyega in an Airshaft, and i think we now know, that he is a Stormtrooper.
So what if:
He is a Stormtrooper of an Imperial Faction, in the Airduct of a Stardestroyer doing some shit
the new Sith Empire comes on board for Negotiations to get the Empire back together, but instead of negotiating they start shooting
and Boyega sees everything, while he is in the Airshaft
after his faction is destroyed he flees to the Yaku

I assumed maybe one of the 'good guys' or something stole a tie fighter and the stormies were attempting to take it down. I could be completely wrong though. All I know is that the Empire, whoever it may be with now, looks a lot meaner and 'tougher' I guess you could say compared to what we've already seen beforehand. I just hope we get a feel of the 'prolonged war' thing and that we can still see regular Star Destroyers and such.

Jakku looks like its just some graveyard planet, I'm currently trying to figure out what ship that the Falcon flys through is. But yeah, overall it looks amazing, so what do you guys think otherwise? New Lambda Shuttle and such? The Chrome Stormtrooper?

( BY THE WAY ) Battlefront trailer comes out in like 4 hours so if anyone is interested in putting it on here before I do: Be my guest!

I don't know man, there's so many new questions. I don't think we're going to get the whole 'fragmented empire' thing as we once originally thought. The Empire looks a lot more Sith-ish and that new star destroyer looks like one of those Harrower Class Dreadnoughts or whatever they're called.

The planet they're on is Jaku apparently, not Tatooine as originally thought.

OH, EU had a ton of issues.  But the only thing the preview convinces me of is that I'm sure I won't miss anything good by skipping the movie.  As far as previews go, it gives me the most "meh" feeling of any preview for Star Wars I've ever seen.  And when you consider that many movies put the best parts in the previews...well, not worth my $1.50 for the DVD from Redbox, much less $2 for the Blu-Ray.

Still not interested in seeing it...

I can see where you're coming from what with the total destruction of the EU, but the EU did have some problems and I think this new set of Star Wars movies deserve a shot. Who knows how good of a story the new trilogy will have?
