Great community on here, makes me wish I came to the forums when I first got started in this mod.

Or just send in a tiny little frigate in to take the superlaser than send in the rest of your fleet (but perfect timings needed to early superlaser hits your capital ship to late and you lose the battle).

Just drop in 2 2-population ships like Enforcers.  The first takes the superlaser, the second keeps you from instalosing and allows you to bring in your Praetors and such.

pretty drunk right now but I'm trying to keep my hero's away from it super laser so they don't get killed haha. Praetors will be good to take it down as long as I have
enough of them haha

Yeah, worry about taking on the Emperor and losing hero's since the PA don't have too many. Think I'm going to take on the Emperor using mainly Praetors.
I'm sure about 5 or 6 of them could defeat the emperor easily.
Quite Impressed by there shields, always put them on the front lines and have seen one get fully damaged yet.

You can't have 5 or 6 of them in a battle.  4 is the most at one time (limit of 40 pop, 9 per Praetor)

Also, the Eclipse has lighter shields and less traditional weaponry than the Executor.  It's actually easier to destroy in traditional combat except for that superlaser will instakill a ship.  It's more powerful than a Sovereign, but still not as powerful as the Executor.

Just after killing him with an ISD, was planning on letting Ardus Kaine do it. But for some reason when I clicked for him to attack Thrawn he decided it would be best
to do a 360 degree turn away from him and fly up towards the other side of the map hahaha.
Praetors really came in handy for the battle, Thrawn came in with about 5 or 6 ISD's and other support ships and the Praetors just ripped through all of them.

Yeah, Praetors are pretty beastly for only being a Battlecruiser.  3 of them can seriously worry an Executor, and with a few Munificents (for the Skiprays) will defeat an Executor.

Perfect, thank you for that :) Can't wait to kill him again!

Killing Thrawn is indeed one of the most enjoyable things to do in ICW. Preferably with some of the most humble units in your roster or an ISD of your own with a non-fleet admiral hero attached aboard, like Gregor or Leia.

Clarification: Although the PA itself doesn't progress past era 3, the rest of the galaxy can and does even when you're playing as the PA.

In your original post you talk about killing off Thrawn "and most of the other hero's in his faction" before going on to kill Isard.  Thrawn actually turns up in progressive GC's twice (not including his clone) in two different factions.  He starts off in Era 1 leading the Empire of the Hand (light blue on the galactic map, the one I think you killed) and then despawns, unless otherwise already dead, when Isard (first leader of the Imperial Remnant) is killed.  Another Thrawn is then spawned to lead the Imperial Remnant in Era 2, whose death will bring about Era 3 with the Imperial Remnant under the command of the Reborn Emperor.

No problem. In the next version we are looking to expand them past era 2, however.

And we look forward to it!!
