FFS, I mixed it up with sins of a galactic empire...

Wow, that mod still works for you?

I stopped playing months ago because the latest version crashes if I load anything other than the CORE files.

I did it but on start up I just got a black screen, just to check, does it work with Trinity?

You're mixing mods.

Trinity is a Sins of a Solar Empire expansion.  Ascendency, which is a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire:  Rebellion, is not yet released, even as a beta.  It will not work on Trinity either.

The mod you downloaded is for Empire at War:  Forces of Corruption.

If you don't have a mods folder, then just create one. It's a regular folder. Also, I'm moving this to the proper forum; please check which mod's section you're posting in, since you've been posting topics about ICW in Ascendancy's section.

One thing you could also do is go to Options, click Mods, then "Show Mod Path" and if you dont have a mods folder it will create one for you and it will also show where the mods folder is located so you know where to place the required files.

This is actually a better way to do it.

If I remember correctly. You have to make a mod folder. Here are some instructions. http://www.ehow.com/how_5006816_mod-pc-games.html

Let me know know if it doesn't work ;)

I have the steam version and not sure how to install the mod, as the game files don't have a mod folder
