I hope it's a prank. It looks like it will utterly devastate post episode VI canon...'Supreme Chancellor Mon Mothma', really? I don't get why these big budget studios can't just put their 'creative license' in the closet for an hour or two and just follow the damn timeline that's been given to them completely free of charge. TCW managed to pull it off pretty well, I'll give them that, but they still managed to screw up once or twice (ie: Barriss becoming a traitor and dying? The ***k?)

I think everyone would've been happy with a series centered on just the clones, those were arguably the best episodes (like the Umbara arc), but for some unfathomable reason the producers kept returning to the way, way, way overdone 'jedi plots', even if it meant butchering established canon in the process.

Somehow I managed to go off on a tangent here, but I really and truly hope Disney ditches this script and uses a book for Episode VII. Shadows of Mindor would be great. The series can follow up on that (as TCW did on its movie), exploring the adventures of Luke following his resignation from the NR military (such as The Jedi Academy Trilogy books), and then switching off to an original Jedi character, or heck, maybe even a firebrand like Kyp Durron. Him as a protagonist in the Sun Crusher crisis would be awesome, the viewer would get to experience his inner turmoil, and then his escapades following the incident. Perhaps even include the Yuuzhan Vong war! It would be a completely different perspective, that of Kyp's Dozen.

It could be great, but lord knows Disney's probably going to just try to make it TCW with Original Trilogy characters -_-

I hope it's a belated April Fool, but unfortunately I can see it being true/Disney doing it.  The story seems to link into the 1313 video game (although it is now presumed-cancelled), and the announcement of TCW's ending did talk about a new animated series "exploring a whole new Star Wars series set in a time period previously untouched in Star Wars films or television programming" (with no reference to the comic/novel Expanded Universe).

On the other hand, I have a couple of issues with this concept:
 - First, it states that the story would introduce characters and themes crucial to the new trilogy.  Considering Episode VII is expected to hit screens in less than two years, does that really give them time to create and broadcast a new animated series to lead up to it? At most they could get two or three seasons out of it.
 - Second, the only original-trilogy cast members explicitly referenced are Leia and possibly Luke (being "The Shade"). What happened to Han/Chewie, Lando, etc?  If this was designed to interest the older SW audience then why omit several of the more popular characters?
 - Third, am I reading too much into these few pages, or are we going to have a "Kala, I am your Mother" moment with Leia's scandalous indiscretion being a one-night stand with Lando during the party on Endor? :P

Seems like a way for them to further profit from the Clone Wars assets. Wouldn't be surprised either way.

Well, the title kind of explains it all...do you think this is real or a hoax. We should be finding out soon enough.
