The defilers.... those bombs they throw are so... overpowered *shudders*

nah tyber ... a few tanks can get him. Also if you land just tyber first you cannot utilize his BOMBARDMENT.

so no you cannot win just against tyber.

The bribe also take a while to re-cahrge and its automatic. If the enemy just sends you crappy human units then he will bribe them first then all the enemy has to do is charge with the tanks.

Any time I've ever played Online GC I've never been beaten as the Consortium. Your entire game doesn't have to consist of even one solid military battle. You'd be surprised what you can do with the galaxy with just a few stacks of credits and a couple of Defilers.

lol but even if you turn it off it still takes a while to recharge.

You don't even need all of those heroes. Tyber with his bribe ability should be enough to win.

The Underworld is the most insta-win unbalanced faction in any game I've ever played. Petroglyph just got too concerned with proving how awesome they were or something.

yeh but if the consortium goes straight for the raid even before the rebel can attack via space, then all that is regarded useless...

do you know what i mean?

With these heroes:

tyber zann,
ig88,
the girl with the whip who can summon rancor
that guy with the claws that can heal himself and become invisible

then its pretty much game over - you can over all the planets just with those heroes!

I actually hadn't considered that, but I suppose that is true. Still though the Rebellion can use a wider variety of units in their raids. I've found the best way for Rebels to win without using bomber/ fighter spam is to use a mix of corvettes/ marauder cruisers to support larger ships, while bombers target Imperial hangars to neutralize their biggest advantage, which is the ridiculous amount of fighters their ships can field.

the consortium still seems a little bit stronger because they have bombardment along with their raids (tyber zann has that aggressor ship)

And TIE Scouts! But those aren't exactly good combat units.

Most of them come from hangars. The only exceptions are TIE Defenders and Phantoms.

oh so you mean the empire cannot build their own fighters?

The way you win in vanilla Forces of Corruption as the Rebellion is spam fighters and bombers. The Rebels and Empire are literally reskinned versions of one faction in the base game, except the Rebels can raid and have the ability to build their own fighters, and the Empire has AT-ATs.

it seems like the rebels are only good near end game (since their tech is fairly crappy near the beginning) but if you are going against the empire who just uses rush tactics to kill all your space stations, will there be enough time to upgrade so that you can build a counter-offensive force?
