Arguably the worst "feature" of the game especially after the freeze bug has been fixed.

Better than them sending 100 waves of 2 ships at you, trust me.  Still can't auto resolve because somehow they'll kill a Star Destroyer before dying.
Don't ya just hate the auto-resolve of this game? :P

I'll tell you about annoyances, when the EotH attacked me at one of my planets with over 227 Decimator-class Cruisers, just Decimators. I couldn't auto resolve as I would loss anything in orbit so had to play manually, it took me over 30 mins to win and the game crashed once. Still, its a brilliant mod.

That tactic would work reasonably well in real life. Not so much in a game where your ships automatically repair and restock between battles.

I've had a similar problem, but not in battle: If the enemy want's a planet, they will rush it with MANY small groups of ships (i.e. tons of "packets" that attack one at a time instead of all at once), then attempt finish it off with 6 capitals and a horde of heavy cruisers.

Never in any mod or vanilla game (either EaW or FoC) I had a problem with "spamming" AI ships.
When playing previous version of the mod, I had that problem with EotH fleets... but found a solution in proper composition of my fleet.

Need to say, that I've increased the pop cap for space battles to ~100 or even 140, so there really was a lot of AI "spam" to kill...  8=)

But nevertheless, such a "spam" is never a problem; just a nuisance...  ;D

I see it in ICW as well, most of it is duable though exept when the NR launches 30 to 40 bothan crusiers at you. they seriously need to be nerfed

I've definitely seen it in ICW, but mostly only near the end of the game.  NR ecspecially will spam with fleets of 100 sacheen and such.

Never been a problem for me in ICW.

Throughout my playthrough of vanilla EaW and FOC, the enemy A.I., regardless of whatever difficulty I choose, might have an abnormally large number of ships that number in the hundreds (capital ships, cruisers, corvettes, etc.), in which they would continuously spam during a space battle (as exemplified with the continuous Imperial ship spam over Shola during the Zann Consortium campaign), therefore prolonging it (and in the worst case, wear your units out). If the same thing applied in this mod, that could result in a worst case scenario.
