Don't Battlestars still have problems getting hit by nukes? And their fleet is not that large, even with the Cylons. Even if it was I do not think the Cylons would like Ion cannons.
I agree. It's a clever faction with power, strategy, evil plots, and a fleet. Most antagonists in the Trek universe were single lone wolfs that had an ace up their sleeve (not unlike some badly done Star Wars villains for that matter).Quite a few SW villains fell into that role, Brakiss, Kueller, Hethrir, Moff Getelles, Froga Brill, to a degree Xizor,(practically ALL the CW villains)
Best Star Trek Villains were the Dominion from DS9. He rest are sloppily done, but DS9 is really good.
Never liked any of the Star Trek villains, seemed too improbable and often struck me as only annoyances like the squabbling between systems after the Empire fell. I kind of wish the Empire WOULD have entered the Star Trek universe...and purged it.
