Next to heavier ships:

Like Silver Cutlass, Venators would make up a support ship/carrier role, providing fire for anything that makes it that far while disgorging their 12 squads of fighters.

Strike-class Cruisers would be one of the mainstays of my fleet, as they are agile and designed for delivering maximum firepower in a minimum target profile.

The largest offensive ships in my main arsenal would be Victory II-class Star Destroyers. By not sinking money into many large ships, I could instead invest in several smaller ships. Thus I could have a fast and deadly fleet, more in the style of the Crimson Command.

By not spending money on expensive capital ships, I could then afford Interdictor Star Destroyers for occasions when I needed to ensure the enemy would not escape.

However, sometimes fast and deadly doesn't cut it. Sometimes you need something that is massive and can deal massive damage. In preparation of this fact, I would commission the production of a Bellator-class Dreadnought for myself, and a Secutor and an Allegiance for my two top ranking commanders. These would only be used under extreme circumstances.

Unlike a lot of people, I'm not going for the biggest toys. I prefer to play it smart, thus my private fleet would conists of:

*The XJ7 X-wing Starfighter. Based on the X-wing, the XJ7 features improvements to the weapons and shielding, and was so good it was used by Rogue Squadron during the Second GCW, and considering the first X-wign was good enough to take down an entire moon-sized battlestation, this is my pick for a starfighter.

*The BTL-S8 K-wing Assault Starfighter. As a heavy starfighter/bomber, the K-wing is able to arm itself with 18 different weapons aside from its two laser turrets. Considering its modularity to suit any situation, the K-wing is my pick for a bomber and gunship.

*The Ranger-class Gunship. Based on the Imperials Lancer-class Frigate, which was put to great use by Thrawn, the Ranger is fast for a corvette, and is also armed with enough AA guns to tear shreds through enemy starfighters, so this is my pick for a corvette.

*The ShaShore-class Frigate. Designed to be maneuverable and versatile, the ShaShore may have low armor, but makes up for it with the Mon Calamari's powerful shield designs, and being as versatile as it is as well as speedy, it is my pick for a ship of the line.

*The Venator-class Star Destroyer. As opposed to how most would use the Venator, I would utilize it as a support ship, providing additional fire from afar, but would be primarily used as a carrier, not only transporting the bulk of my starfighters but functioning as a repair ship to damaged fighter-craft, making it ample for my fleet.

*The Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. The heavy hitters of my fleet, the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer was a symbol of power and might to the Empire, and due to its powerful and heavy armament, these things were still considered battlefield titans during the Yuuzhan Vong War, despite being around 40 years old.

*The MC80 Home One-type Star Cruiser. Despite being old and reconverted vessels, the Home Ones were not to be triffled with, as even during the Yuuzhan Vong War these ships served the Mon Calamari Forces in defending their home planet from the invaders, proving how valuable these ships were. In addition to their armament, armor, and heavy shield, there modularity makes them important to me, and thus I would take command of one as my flagship.

I think with a fleet consisting of just these starships I mentioned, I would little trouble dealing with any Imperial Moff with an SSD :D

Alrighty, now on to my smaller ships (corvettes, light frigates, etc).

Lancers would (of course) be the primary anti starfighter unit of choice.

3?6 wolf packs of Carracks to speed around the battlefield, some causing chaos with those lovely ion cannons of theirs, while others would attempt to sneak behind enemy lines and attack anything undefended.

Vindicator and Enforcer class cruisers would be flying with the Lancers to be the first line of defense against any serious threats to my fleet.

Yeah, Assertor was 15 KM long, same as a Sovereign.  But much more heavily armed than the sovereign, and minus the axial superlaser.

I was under the impression the assertor was smaller then that, anyway if it is that large then I would knock it down to a praetor.

Assertor is canon a star dreadnought, same as the Executor, the Vengeance SSD, the Bellator, etc.  All fall into the same anaxes war college designation.  To get smaller than a star dreadnought, the largest ship that I'm aware of that is not classified as one is the Praetor MKII.

Ok, my Imperial fleet:
1 Assertor class, flagship
10 ISDs (Mk II), main offensive force
10 Victorys (Mk II), long range support
30 Lancers, anti-fighter screen
10 Venators, carriers
5 Tector SDs, 10 Strike Cruisers, defensive screen for Assertor
2 Interdictor ISDs, (NOT Immobilizers, too fragile) because it's a trap!
All ships have standard fighter complements, with the following exceptions: TIE Fighters replaced by TIE/D Defenders, TIE Interceptors replaced by TIE Avengers, and TIE/sa Bombers replaced by Skipray Blastboats.

I do believe I could win just about any fight with this, A full size SSD (I consider Assertor a star-dreadnaught, 1 rank down from a SSD) is too high profile for me, that's asking for a rebel attack.

mostly Venator's and Nebula-class Star Destroyer's. some Praetor Mark II's my commanders would have Bellator-class and my top commander's having Assertor's. my ship would be aVengeance-class dreadnought. the fighters would consist of  TIE Aggressor's and Defender's.

superiority fighter- a-wing because it is so fast and also has shields and concussion missiles
bombers- k-wing because it has so much firepower
elite fighters- stealth x's because they have usual x-wing power and also the cloaking ability.

capital ships-
one nebula star destroyer for flag ship
mc90 for taking punishment
4 bothan assault cruisers for fire power
3 endurance for fighters
5 corvettes for anti-fighters

I would but starfighers such as A-Wing or Eta-2 class or what it is to defend capital ships from bombers and other anti capital ship fighters and others is the normall duty
Frigates and corvettes destroys enemy frigates and corvettes(Nebulon B-Frigate and CR90)
Capital ship superiorty MC80 Liberty and Home Class , and venators :)
I would be in Home One class or Dog fighiting with x-wing or jedi starfighter :)

I personally would arm myself thusly (also beginning with fighters)

Superiority fighter: the TIE Interceptor has to be the best at this. No shields, but ensure it has all 6 teeth for maximum hurt.
Multipurpose: Missile Boat (cooler than Star Wing)
Elite Squadrons: TIE Defenders and Hunters
Bomber: TIE Interdictor

1 SSD to be the sword thrust through the enemy center
2 ISDmkIIs to guard the Interdictors and pull rear security or act as reinforcements as needed
4 VSDIIs for flanking maneuvers to create crossfire deathtraps for enemies caught between them and the SSD
2 Escort carriers to overwhelm enemy bombers and help screen the big ships while bombers attack the enemy cap ships
4 Lancers for anti snubfighter screens
2 Interdictor cruisers for entrapment and missile deflection

Fighters should be TIE Interceptors for speed, TIE Bombers for punch and TIE Defenders for elite strikes.

The Scimitar is a weeeee bit faster than the Assault Gunboat, but lacks the Ion Cannons.  That and the slight payload advantage for the Xg1 gives it the nod to me.

The more I look at it the more I like that idea, the scimitar seems to bring very little to the table besides extreme crew safety, and it seems the Star Wing can hold more missiles, it looks like the TIE/sa is gonna be the Empires equivulance to the B52, lol

As scouts go I would us the TIE Vanguard as a non-hyperspace scout and the Lone Scout-A as the main hyperspace scout, with the Skiprays scouting as well.

For baseline bombing I'd still use the Assault gunboat.  Superior performance to the Tie/sa in every way.
