Well. I don't want to create another topic so I will simply write here

I've installed the mod (installer version) but for some reason I can't launch it. Both shortcut and .bat thing are not working and I have no idea what is going wrong. When I dopble click the shortcut, a black icon appears but disappears after a second.
Ah. And I have a non-steam version of EaW and FoC.

The batch file (which is the .bat) isn't needed for the Steam version. You just need to have the Imperial_Civil_War folder in the mods folder, and the launch options as I posted them earlier.

I can't get the mod to work either. I know I have the steam launch setting right and the path to the Imperial_Civil_War file is the same one as the one you posted earlier. What I think I did wrong was where i put the TR batch file (p.s. is that the .bat file you talked about? I'm new to the whole modding thing sorry). The path to that is C:\ Program Files\ Steam\ steamapps\ common\ Star Wars Empire at War\ corruption. (it's in the corruption file) Did I misplace that? Whenever I launch the game through Steam it just loads the regular FoC.

I don't think that Steam allows that kind of shortcut, it was meant for the retail copy.

Instead, do this:
Quote from: Manual
Playing
1. Open Steam to the Library page and select Empire at War.
2. Right click on Empire at War and select Properties.
3. Click Launch Options and add MODPATH=Mods\Imperial_Civil_War.
4. Close Properties and click Play on Empire at War, selecting Forces of Corruption.
5. To play the original game, or another mod, reverse the previous four steps

I mean the whole thing, including the part I mentioned.

So something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire at war\corruption\mods\Imperial_Civil_War\Data

Can you post the exact filepath you have up to the Imperial_Civil_War\Data folder?

Umm I'm not quite sure about desura it gave me a lot of troubles when I tried to install 1.3 so I simply downloaded it and created the "Mods" folder on the forces of corruption directory and extracted it's content in there. Honestly I have no idea but i'm sure Corey or some one else will give you hand with it. I don't want to give you any kind of instruction that I'm not sure if it works and might even make everything worse just good luck.

By the way have you tried the direct acces to I.C.W. or TR.bat file wich launches the game?
