Yeah that's weird. Have you tried the Desura version?

I've had the exact same issue. Downloaded both the installer and the Zip files. Both were the same size as stated above, both claimed to be invalid.
I'm running windows 8, but haven't had anything like this before from a mod, or a download. Wondering if it's a server problem maybe? Not sure...

I've downloaded both multiple times just to see if it was an interrupted download, but doesn't seem it...curious.

On a separate note, think you guys are doing an out standing job on the mod! Loved 1.3!

I just downloaded the archive from two different moddb mirrors and both had the same errors.

The archive has 1.71 gb
The installer has 1.45 gb
The mod folder itself has 2.48 gb

Is there any other place where the mod was uploaded apart from moddb so I could try a redownload?

What are the filesizes of the archive/installer/mod folder?

Most of the team use Windows 7, so that is unlikely to be the problem (the only possible issue there is not having the FoC Ram Fix).  Your reported problems with both the installer and archive sound as if the download was interrupted before it was completed.  Have you tried redownloading?

Hello, this is my first time downloading the mod. I downloaded both the installer and the archive of version 2.0 The problem is that when I run the installer I receive an error saying it contains invalid data. I managed to unrar the archive but I received some strange errors saying it was corrupted. However most files were unrared and I created the mod folder and managed to start the game but there are no textures for most planets you see while in space battles, some ships' engines have large squares behind them that probably should have represented engine glow and explosions are replaced with squares with the petrolygh logo flying away.

Is there any place I could download a good version of 2.0 either installer or archive ?

I am running on Windows 7, could that be the reason I get errors?
