The version mismatch is an issue with Steam. There is probably no actual difference in patches, it just has a different version number for no reason. You should make sure you both have the same patches just to be sure though.

Im pretty sure. we are going to try a fresh install and see if that solves the problem.

Have you made sure you don't have anything different in your EAW/Data or FoC/Data folders?

Hey, just posting to say we think we've found what the problem is and we should have it fixed in our upcoming patch for 2.0.

The site the guy uses for hosting (Dropbox) has a limit on how many  people can download a file per day. The links appear to be disabled due to high traffic. I would just try again tomorrow or the day after. Also there is a more updated version of that patch on page 6 of that thread.

The unofficial one is saying that the public links have been disabled. :-/

This is a problem that tends to occur with default FOC as well as with having mods installed.

There is an official fix here: http://www.lucasarts.com/support/update/EAWFOC1_1.html

If that doesn't work there is an unofficial fix here:

http://computerlimbo.com/showthread.php?tid=306&pid=871#pid871

If you use either of those make sure the person you are playing with has the respective patch installed as well.

Hello, I would like to start off by saying this is a fantastic mod and has pretty much taken over all of my gaming. That being said whenever I try to do multi player with mods as soon as I log in to the MP it freezes. I assumed that this was because the mod didnt support MP, but since you all have specifically stated that v 2.0 does I am just a little puzzled as to why it doesnt work. I have the base game patched up all the way and I installed the mod properly. Single player works beautifully. The MP in vanilla FoC works, so I was wondering if you knew why this problem occurs, and if anyone else has been having it. Thanks for the hard work, have a good one.
