I don't know about Palpatine being able to kill Mace. As far as I know it's not certain that the intended to get hit by his own lightning. More likely he took advantage of the situation when Anakin arrived. But onto main topic. Merely power wise speaking Anakin Skywalker was the strongest force users ever before he lost all his limbs and got severely burned . Like Obi-Wan said "he more machine than a man". And machines can't use the force. And still Luke only got the better of Vader when he used the dark side.

I'd have to say Luke would win. His power in the force was nearly unmatched by anyone after he achieved mastery. After all he defeated Shadowspawn, Lumiya, Vader, a number of Dark jedi and even went toe to toe with ole palps himself.

On another note, Sidious COULD have killed Mace but needed Anakin to see he was helpless to force him into a decision.
In the book he even says as much to Mace when Mace says Palpatine was defeated by his own fear palpatine replies that the fear mace feels is not his. He quickly dispatched Mace with more than enough power after the hand loss thing. Also in the movie if you watch closely right after the battle moves out of Palps office and through the hallway it pauses in the foyer before continuing. mace makes a swing and Palps ducks it and holds his lightsaber point up to Maces throat. It's clear from both their expressions in the scene who had won. However Palps hesitates and gives Mace the opportunity to recover and resume the duel. power wise and skill wise it was like this,
Sidious=Yoda(According to SWEIIIRotS)
Tyranus=Mace(according to Yoda Dark rendezvous and numerous Clone Wars comics)
Dooku and Mace had roughly the same level of power and skill. As was well proven Yoda was stronger than Dooku but could not defeat Sidious. Sidious obviously maneuvered the confrontation to gain Anakin as an apprentice. Don't think the reflected lightning into his face was part of the plan really though...of course that could have just been to force the point as it didn't diminish Sidious' power in the least.

I wouldn't call say Palpatine beat Windu, Windu had him cornered before Anakins betrayal.
Palpatine was pretending to lose so that he could turn Anakin.  Hence how he suddenly turned around with "Power. Unlimited POWER!" and blasted Windu out the window.

That depends.  If you are specifically referring to the battles seen in the films, then undoubtedly Vader would win.  He did have an additional 30 years of experience with the Force and lightsaber combat over Luke, not to mention the full training he had under Obi-Wan.

If we take it purely on power with each at the height of his abilities, i would argue that Luke would win.  After just 10 years experience in the Force, and with little formal training, Luke managed to defeat the reborn Palpatine in single combat.  Compare this feat with the closing events of the Clone War:  Palpatine defeated both Yoda and Mace Windu, the most powerful Jedi of the time and arguably more powerful than Obi-Wan, who himself defeated the undamaged Vader.

It's true that Anakin lost a lot of his force potential when was defeated and mauled by Obi-Wan. If he hadn't been a cyborg he would have defeated Luke easily

Who would win? The chosen one? Or the Savior of the Jedi? When Luke defeated Vader, he was all burnt up more then a KFC chicken! A and had what, one arm that was still made of flesh?! And he was STILL hard to defeat, so IF Vader never lost to obi wan, did not get all burnt up and sliced up, would he have won? YES.

Any thoughts?
