in games i've played (mind you, it's of the beta version, may differ), if bastion wasn't owned by empire, thrawn would spawn on a nearby imperial planet. also remember that thrawn will likely move around.

On the other hand, he could activate the Hero filter (fourth button down on the right hand side of the minimap) so that Thrawn and the other heroes will appear on top of their fleet stacks.

After a while managed to destroy the Lusankya and advanced a tech level. However i have been playing for a while after this and haven't seen thrawn anywhere, now i checked and the main empire planet for this period is meant to be bastion- however i had already conquered this. Does this mean Thrawn will not spawn (hey that rhymes 
) and that i can't advance my tech level anymore?
