ideologically, he was a maverick, often going against the jedi council.

those badass boys who are always somewhere between Dark and Light?

They are called Grey Jedi, like Jolee and Qui-Gon. They were both Grey Jedis.
Qui-Gon was a  grey jedi?

Wookiepedia says so.

I agree.  As long as there is light, there will always be dark.  But then again, the Sith were only one faction of Dark Force Users, albeit the most powerful and/or well known.  There were also the Witches of Danthomir amongst others... So yes, I believe there could be an end to the Sith, but some other Dark Side Faction would by necessity fill the void.

i was saying there can't be jedi without sith, just like there cant be light without dark.

When we are speaking about Dark and Light. What about rainbow? What about the Aing Tii, those badass boys who are always somewhere between Dark and Light? Any more informations about them?

the sith wont be gone unless the jedi are gone. because they are polar opposites of each other, and they are the manifestations of the light and dark side of the force repsectively.

no.
the jedi seek to return balance to the force. in the case of the jedi, they were made weaker and more disorganised in the GCW, but there were still jedi, just as there were sith. there is no sngle period in SW history where there were just dark-siders or just lightsiders.

Yes, but there will always be people like Dooku and Revan who decide the jedi are wrong and do what they think the need to.

you don't always need dark side users as the bad guys. for example: Thrawn, Daala

No.

The Jedi and Sith are inextricably linked, through the Force.

And in order to create storylines for more books, they need to reappear periodically :P

Can the Sith be completely destroyed and thus prevent their re-appearence every now and then?
