Maybe try again downloading the mod. I downloaded it yesterday and it works like a charm.
One comment though, when Steam prompts to choose the game to run, select Corruption not the Gold Pack. I hope this helps.

This isn't an issue with the mod, it's an issue with what you're doing to extract it or your system, so without seeing what's actually happening I can't really know for sure where you're going wrong.
