Lots of deaths, but that was to be expected. I would have preferred it to start earlier, telling more of the Order's fight against Voldemort, and the chaos within the Ministry. I was also disappointed with the epilogue, which i found to be an exceedingly lame ending to the series, although the Horcrux and Hallows were excellent. One of the key aspects for me was the uniting of the wizarding world; wizards, muggles, house-elves, centaurs, goblins - all of which were depicted in the former Ministry statue.
