Thats true, still, Clones aren't really that bad, I mean, if you looked at the clones, they each had their own Personalities and ambitions, some deserted and started families and worked regular jobs. Just as long as they aren't given an Inhibitor Chip with a bunch of commands programmed into it (say Order 66) everyone would be happy with clones. (Might even make them Expendable, poor clones)

Cloning was a prominent scientific issue a few decades ago. I guess that's why it appeared in novels and movies from that era.

It seems to me that almost everyone has clones of themselves. Palpatine has a lot of Clones on Byss, Thrawn has his secret Clone, there was the clone of the Jedi Master (forgot his name) that went insane, there was also the Clone army based off of Jango Fett. Is it just me or are clones an important part of Star Wars as the wars based in the Canon (Movies and TV Shows and Video games) and Legends (comics and video games)? I just seem to find it funny.

He's also a clone at one point.. I don't think he gets the same combat bonus(es)... But technically, I guess you'd have to kill him 3 times if you count the clone as well.

yeah but it's kinda weird killing him twice...
also, if you look at it carefully, while Thrawn is with the EotH he commands the Grey Wolf, while with the remnant the Chimaera.
So it's not so much killing him twice as much as You destroy his flagship once and then finish the job.
The returning Heroes all have the same treatment. They return in a different ship.

You also kill Daala twice, and several NR heroes that exist in multiple eras.

Thrawn founded the empire of the hand. That is why in Era 1, he is the leader of the hand. But, he leavs the hand to take controll of the Imperial Remnant in Era 2. Don't forget that the Hand was a secret empire, and he did not want to get it entangled in imperial business.(and corruption)

Why is there one Thrawn in the imperial remnant and one in the empire on the hand?
