About the dissapearing saves,
As you said yourself this problem originates from the vanila game and we can't do anything about it sadly :(
About the exception, without concrete stuff like what causes it I can't say much.

Hey there! I have been having a problem with Thrawn's Revenge and Forces of Corruption as as whole, this problem still persists in other mods such as Republic at War; the game crashes randomly with an exception error and when I attempt to reload my progress in galactic conquest, the save is gone. I really want to play this mod and I appreciate support.
