When I press download from Moddb
http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-ascendancy/downloads/ascendancy-10f-for-sins-v182-steam
I get Ascendancy-V1-ExtractHere.1.zip

Your enabledmods.txt file should have only the following:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 1
enabledModName "Ascendancy-V1F"

Change enabledmods.txt's contents to the above, give it a try.  I've got no idea how you got the extract here parts in there.

Open EnabledMods.txt and paste the entire contents in here.

C:\Users\Tyler\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82\Ascendancy-V1F\GameInfo
That's as far as it will go..

I need the full path to and including the GameInfo folder, exactly like I gave in my example.

The most common cause of this problem is either there being an Ascendancy folder inside the first one, which is why I keep asking for the direct path to the GameInfo folder, or the name you have in EnabledMods does not match the actual Ascendancy folder name (typically having left off the F). The third cause is people installing it to the 1.82 mods folder when they have Sins 1.83 ( or vice versa)

I need the path all the way into the gameinfo folder, not just the path for the Mods folder.

What is the exact path to get to your Ascendancy GameInfo folder?

ie
C:\Users\Corey\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82\Ascendancy-Sins\GameInfo

Go into it, right click the address bar and copy path as text, then paste it here.

If you really did everything right, then you should be able to start the mod from within the game.
After you launched Sins, go to Options, there on the sidebar you should se a Mods part. Click on it.
In the right main screen you will se two columns, One labeled as Available mods and the other as Enabled mods
Look for Ascendancy-Sins within the Available mods collum, left click on it and press Enable mod to the right of the columns.
Then if you click on the Apply changes Ascendancy should start up. Just make sure you have LAA enabled :)
If you use the CD version, the game will also keep this setting and will start Ascendancy next time when you start the game. For steam version, I am not sure.

I have it in the correct folder as it says, changed the wordpad text, and the LAA ( I think I did that right) then when I start sins it doesn't go to Thrawn it goes to regular sins.
