I would've liked to see more novels about The Pentastar Alignment. They weren't featured that much, plus, considering their position in the galaxy, they could've EASILY been The Empire's heir had they stopped doing the isolation policy.

Eh, more likely she loses control of it and dies. Maybe Tyber knew that and let her keep it...nah, that'd be too good.

I would guess, Slornie, that the carbonite army didn't last all that long considering A. They'd been in carbonite for centuries or even millenia, and B. Silri isn't exactly the greatest tactician and doesn't seem to have thought her plan through, how is she going to get all those troops off the asteroid? What is she going to do with them, will she even be able to get them to submit to her authority?

I'd have loved a book about Bel Iblis's campaigns against the Empire after leaving the Rebellion.  I'm sure I'd enjoy also a novel or novella from Zsinj's perspective covering his actions post-Endor and the decision to strike out on his own as Warlord, and some of his early battles.

That gap between the Ruusan Reformation and the events of TPM, from the Republic perspective. There are so many good stories about the rise of the Sith in this time, but what's going on in the galaxy at large?

Along those lines, any gap in history. The hundred years before Legacy. The time after the KotOR games but before SWTOR. So much empty canvas, so much potential.

I would have liked a story that reveals how Jag became the first Fel emperor.

I would like that.

There are a couple of things in this category for me, and it's a shame we'll never get the chance to find out.

  • The novel Zahn has written but LucasFilm never published about how Soontir Fel ended up with the Empire of the Hand.
  • More stories covering the early years of Zahn's creations - the Empire of the Hand, Mara Jade, Talon Karrde.
  • A follow-up to Death Star telling what happened to the main characters after they escaped in a shuttle at Yavin (planning to join the Rebellion).
  • This is probably controversial, but I'd actually like to find out what happened after the end of Forces of Corruption's story with that carbonite frozen army.

Which parts of the EU, in your opinion, you wish had a novel (or comic series, etc) that would expand more upon?

The battles against the Warlords in depth, the Orinda Campaign, the Pentastar Alignment, Jerec and the Inquisitors and more tales from Thrawn's time in the EotH. The battles they fought, the campaigns out there. The YEVETHA, I loved these guys as villains, they were ruthless, xenophobic and had major potential as baddies...then they were just ignored and killed offscreen. I would have loved to see that last battle between them and the Vong.

I will say that the EU had a ton of things going on in the Star Wars Galaxy. Some are explained and shown in heavy detail...Some that are mentioned or isn't exactly expanded upon.

And this is about the latter.

Which parts of the EU, in your opinion, you wish had a novel (or comic series, etc) that would expand more upon?

Two things came to mind for me, Renegade Squadron and Rahm Kota. Mostly video game related, it's hard to get something out of those two other than their backstory and history in my opinion.

Renegade Squadron had a great set-up, as they are mostly men with shady pasts who don't share the same ideals of the Rebel Alliance but have the skills to take on the Empire. Picked by Han Solo and Col Serra, guys who admit they're not nice people, Renegade Squadron were basically the guys who did the dirty work. Problem is...That they are mostly composed of generic troops in the Battlefront games, so no personality was really there other than hardcore badasses. I would have love to see some material of actual members of the group.

Rahm Kota, the one Jedi who escape Order 66...But nobody really cares to show his exploits in both the PT-Era and even give the man a conclusion. Quinlan Vos, K'Kruhk, A'Sharad Hett, most survivors tend to have some conclusion after Order 66 (Vos's escape, K'Kruhk's society of Jedi refugees, Hett's downfall to Darth Krayt for example). But Kota has always been a sort of random guy who just happened to be there. While one can really say that the Force Unleashed was too out there to really put in the main canon, Kota was in a battlefront series game...So what the heck? Where is his story? Where can we learn his bias on clones? What happened to him in the very end?

But yeah, my two cents of things.
