Slornie's is pretty much the main reason we don't do it more; almost nothing we've done in the mod works with it, so our GC development time is better spent in places where it does work. The having to leave previous era units in may seem cool to some people because they want those units too, but then most of the new units just get pushed off the buildbar and become inaccessible because there are too many.

There's also the additional reasons that we didn't know there would be as many people who wanted more of them, and also that we can't test them at all.

Another problem with multiplayer GCs is they don't support story scripting (or at least not properly), which we use quite heavily through our era system for unit and hero locking/unlocking.  This means, for an example, we can't do multiplayer GCs for Pellaeon or Daala because you'd still have access to buildable SSDs and Sovereigns etc from Palpatine's era.  Or if we made it so SSDs are unlocked solely through scripting we couldn't do a good Palpatine era multiplayer GC because the unlock script for the SSDs wouldn't work.

I am not part of the team, but even I have a few ideas why.
First, if there are more than 2 fractions in a map, if you attack an AI, then it must be an autoresolve because the other guy can not participate in the battle.
just ask one of your friends to play with you in empires at war. After that try to take N'zoth...
good luck...
The other real problem is that the EAW wasn't really designed to play GCs in multiplayer. Of course they left the option open, and gave you some, but it is still undeveloped. Just think about it, if they would want you to play GCs in multipayer, then they would have developed a system to allow more than  players.

Yeah just curious about this, is it because multiple factions dont work well in GC for multiplayer or what?
