Exactly for that reason.  If you think HyperV's are overpowered, you'd hate the Ion cannon.  While doesn't damage a ship at all, instantly brings down the shields on any ship, even Executors/Eclipse/Sovereigns so that bombers can wreak absolute havoc.

Also, MC80B/MC90 aren't 1 hit killed.  they have a FEW hard points left after being hyper'd.  Only the MC80 is instantly destroyed, and most medium frigates and smaller.  Vic's, Chafs, etc will survive technically (they'll have 1 or 2 hardpoints left).

Nope. Has far as I can tell that is their purpose. It is so you can leave a smaller garrison fleet.  But what difficulty are you playing on?

Ah ok So it was removed... Thought it may have been a bug but anyway.

On another note... hyper velocity guns... a bit OP? If I have two and a few space stations and can pretty much defeat ANY attack, I mean two has half the recharge time and can one shot mon calamri crusiers including admiral Ackbar.......

Am I missing something here?

Planet layout is fixed in the upcoming 2.1 as well, so you didn't install improperly.

Hadn't even realized that.  That's great for some of those planets that like really bad layouts (like Coruscant).

The planet ability was for EAW and FOC so you could see what special bonus that planet gave you. (e.g. Increased credits on Coruscant) But because Imperial civil war hasn't got Planet ability's (for most planets) It's just a useless button.
Also you don't need something to tell you what planet is a mining colony, most mining colony's are easy to spot since their base credit's are larger than normal.

Sooo I'm a bit confused about the planet ability's such as... When I click on the "show/hide planets special ability's button in the bottom left corner nothing happens, however if you hover your cursor over where the Icons are suppose to appear, it seems they are still there but just not showing?

So is this a bug? Or has planet ability's been purposely removed?

I read the PDF manual and it lists the planets and some still have ability's such as "mining colony" but how do you tell if a planet is a mining colony in the game if these icons don't work??

Also what's with the plant lay out not working? I managed to find some info from a search here saying that it's being fixed, or has it already been fixed and I have done an incorrect installation?   mines just a blank screen.

Thx.
