It's mechanics and all are set and everything but it really lacks any form of character in my opinion.

The UI is sleek and the gameplay is solid but when it comes to races. The ships are bland, combat is uninteresting, and races are simply just a bunch of bonuses and debuffs. There isn't any real interaction on the personal level. Not even voice acting.

I got quickly bored of the game.

Never played it myself.  Can't say as I'd be very interested personally, not into turn-based games.

Just looking through the Steam sale and stumbled across Endless Space. Looks interesting and has good reviews, but does anyone here have any experience with it?
