And no, the super laser isn't targetable, it is an ability. Saying "all these" makes it sound like they have a shitload of ships with them, when in reality it's just the Eclipse and Sovereign. The Eclipse is a one off ship as the Emperor's flagship, and the Sovereign is really expensive. Sovereigns take a long time to build as well, so you probably won't face many. they're terrible against fighters/bombers, and their superlaser can only hit a single target, and takes a while to recharge.

If so, send bombers to take it out and then send the Viscount in to finish the job.
Or maybe you shouldn't send a Viscount against a Sovereign. Send something it can't hit with it's superlaser. Like bombers.
