Not the same thing at all. This book explains WHY the technology (not just military) evolved faster in some parts of the world, why germs evolved to be more deadly in certain areas than others.

It's definitely not a book for entertainment, but for curiosity. Try picking it up again, at invention (not domestication) it starts to become quite interesting.

ummmmm, lol
i started to read it last year cuz my mom made me, (im homeschooled)
it was ok, i thought it was kinda boring, but i didnt get very far into it when my sister (who goes to a public school)
had t o read it for her history class, when that happenned my mom somehow forgot about it so i didnt read very much,
maybe it gets better as it goes on, like i said i only read like the first chapter, maybe ill read more this year?
