Evaders99:
You can do something nice for the holiday. And its free too.. no money required.

Donate your idle computer cycles to science. Stanford's Folding@Home project uses your computer to help simulate protein folding.

Every good community has a team. So join our SW:Rebellion Network Folding Team - team# 96904
You can install it no matter what operating system (Windows / Linux / even PS3...). Just install a client and let it go.

I'll sticky this for you...

Evaders99:
Now Nvidia users can add their video cards to the Folding@home project. We know you're not spending all that time playing games with your video card. Use its processing power for a worthy cause.

Nvidia Folding@home beta client

Requirements: A Nvidia 8000/9000 series card (all those support Cuda which this client uses).
Reports of 8800 GTs that can go up to 4000 PPD (points-per-day), that beats the pants out of all other clients.

I guess this my update for June. Our team score right now is 188203 with 176 WU.
Our team ranking is 4303 of 126821. (Up another 2000!)

If you add your Nvidia card, we can reach our current point value in only 47 days! Another month and a half to double what we've contributed so far. Multiple people contribute, we can easily reduce that by multiple factors. Let's see how far our team can rank up.

This is pretty cool

In another month, we can overtake most groups and get to the top 2000.
A year, probably into the top 1000 teams. Of course, the top teams have lots of producers, but even around the 500s, there are many teams we can overtake with sufficient time. It means, on our current trend, we are producing more than they are per day.
