The Warlord Strategy Guide
« on: October 04, 2016, 04:09:03 PM »
So we are on the hype train for the Warlords and we should have some strategy planed for their arrival.

My Maldrood Plan: have my ISDs defend my planets while going after Kashyyk and getting more heroes. I would proceeded to get rid of NR and Zsinj territory and expand form their.
Zsinj: Capture kuat and Cardia, and build lukerhaulks and Allegiances.
Eradiu: Super Star Destroyers, and Star Destroyers... nothing else

See what I usually have a list of things I like to do as a warlord.
1. Secure my borders with all my starting forces
2. With planets far behind my front lines I turn them into credit producing worlds
3.Then start building my navy and ground forces
The only problem with star destroyer spam is that it can be easily countered by the AI if you do not use it in the proper manner, have proper support ships, or just wrap them in on top of the enemy defenses. My fleet makeup is usually made up of a couple ISDIIs, two escort ships (anything above ISDs but below SSD) then my capital ship (Hero SSD or build-able SSD) Then I fit my frigates in. This is why I enjoy playing as the Pentastar Alignment since they have the Preator II. With these new factions and ships I can expand my horizons a bit

But my point is Maldrood will have much smaller ships because some heroes are recruit able my plan is simple.
1: Secure my borders
2: build a Crimson Command fleet and some ISDs
3: attack Kashyyk and help Grand Admiral Syn, Webaca, Moff Darc, and Pekt.
4: Attack NR and Zisnj.
5: take the Galaxy

Oh, I understand now, I haven't been really caught up with the Maldrood faction that sounds like a good plan.

Short Summary: Greater Maldrood(or the federated Teradoc Union) is a faction made by Truenten And Kosh Terradoc. They formed it around their fleets mostly consisting of Imperial VSD ll with crimson hulls. Truenten Died at the toss beacon while his brother Kosh I think was capture by rouge squadron. They also had a large array of pirate contacts(which is why they get Pirate units)

Treuten died on Tsoss beacon to Daala's nerve gas ambush and Kosh was killed about a year later by a pressure activated bomb the Wraiths disguised as a statue he wanted and blew him up when he entered his fortress.

there will always be left from our kind, my friend. There is too much good stuff, and soon they will all see that Disney doesn't really want to re-imagine it rather than trying to cash in on our love of star wars and feelings of nostalgia.
After all, as I noticed whenever something would die out, they mention a name or place, hype rises that then this and that is canon too, everyone waits eagerly and a huge letdown comes when it turns out they just modified some details and got the same story or they let out the good part. Aka, the Malachor V incident. Everyone wanted Revan back as canon and a huge ass in our faces was the reward...

That is true. I remember when they announced Mandalorians were going to be in TCW. That was another wind-up to a huge letdown. We just need to make sure we "pass on what we have learned" to future generations of SW fans.

Technically he is in cannon. We saw Malcore and the battle that took place and we saw hints that raven is around.
Plus Kilo Ren is a whiny b*** Revan/JonSnow/DarthVader wana be
You know what Black Fleet Crisis Could work in the New Cannon.
And I would like to see more Warlords

And Dave No offense but that is how douche bag companies are like Disney and EA
We need more thought into Cannon. In Interviews Dave Floine has hinted that he push for characters like Thrawn and Revan. While Disney apparently doesn't want really care about any EU material. They push against the clone wars form getting a true final send off instead of small stories that tied up small ends. It was also hinted that if George hadn't force Disney to keep the creative team, Scumbag Disney would have Thrown them out and replace them with S*** writers who honestly never grew up with the EU.

Ironic Revanchist look at the Thrawn quote you have on your profile. Then you will understand.

Indeed we are certainly a dying breed, but we can only hope that they will bring some of the EU characters into the actual characters. It seems like they are just scrapping and redoing the Warlord era, with the battle of Jakku and the rise of the First
Order. It would be pretty easy comprise just to throw in the biggest warlords ( Imperial leaders in the era system for Thrawn's revenge) in that 30 year gap between 6 and 7. Though I can understand why they want to start over though, in order to make more money, and to take a new take on it. I think if they just kept the same thing it wouldn't be as interesting to the  general public, which is their target audience. But I am pretty disappointed that EU knowledge is becoming "lost" knowledge.

And btw when you said a "new take" I laugh out loud so much. Episode 7 is Jar Jar Abrams rip off of a new hope. And Adam Driver said the next movie is basically empire strikes back....soooooooo. No they really just are doing it to capitalize the youth. They don't give a Shit about you, me, Dave, Lord Xizer (My lord and Savior), Corey, and the others. To them we are lazy Pc losers who always complain at what they do with star Wars(which is not true)

It really is sad because we have the same old same old and Very very very very very crappy star wars games.
If only they cared Which Explains why they Kick Dave Floine Off Rebels as supervisor and screw him over since he is not helping guide how Thrawn should be .

Filoni has been a big source of problems too. He tried to bring Durge into TCW, only reimagined as a human.

But anyways, we digress from the original purpose of this thread.

Okay fair enough I will give you that, though I personally liked the new movie it was pretty similar to the new hope. I should've thought it through with my reasoning though. I was aiming toward the "filler" movies in between the big three. I personally think that if George Lucas was still in control of Star Wars, the series would probably worse off. Of course they don't care about us, The OG, for the lack of a better term.
Even though I am new to the Forum I am not new to Star Wars, Thrawn's revenge, all of that stuff.
Overall yes I do agree with you 100%, and it disappoints me that star wars is going in this direction.
And yes we are just  "Admirals, lords, and guests just rambling on star wars cannon" lol

Though I believe the 2.15 -> 2.2 will be an another huge one.
If (and from Palpatine's voice from now on)everything is proceeding according to plan, then it will be a huge update.
Dave I know this might be a question you cant answer ,but  How many heroes does Maldrood have? And how many are recriutable?
