...Ascendancy 0.95 Beta Release...

The Emperor has fallen, and the Empire is in shambles after their defeat at Endor. Can the Rebel Alliance, now reformed as the fledgling New Republic, re-establish the traditions of the old Republic and restore peace or will the Empire manage to unite under a strong leader to once again impose order over a lawless galaxy?

Keep in mind, this is still a beta/early access version to test certain functionalities and features before we're too committed to anything. Several things are therefore still in progress or not started, and we appreciate all feedback.




...Features of Ascendancy...
Play as the New Republic or Imperial Remnant, each with unique ship rosters, abilities, playstyles and tech trees.
Conquer the Star Wars Galaxy on several new maps with various configurations, featuring several new planet types and canon planet placements.
Completely redesigned UI, and overhauled graphical effects.
Several overhauled and all-new gameplay mechanics, ship systems degrading with damage, and the ability to entirely destroy planets.

We've begun work on a wiki with in-depth information on the mod. There's still a ton of information we're working on adding as a result of the recent downtime, and registration is open so if you see something you want to add, feel free. We also have a board to help people who want to play Ascendancy online to organize games with other players, which you can find here. To post a bug or if you require tech support, there's a section for it on our forums.

Before playing the mod to increase stability, also enable Large Address Aware to bypass Sins' 2GB memory limit issues. LAA is included in the download, simply open it, set the mode to basic, find your Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion.exe file and click the box to enable large address aware, then save. This only needs to be done once, so if you have already done it for other mods you can skip this step.

Infrastructural capacity research for empire is bugged. If you research it and then loose the required 6 civilian labs it dont work any longer and if you then rebuild them you dont get the bonus. Atleast i didnt.
Also the planetary corruption bonus acted weirdly here, it gave me zero cash even though i should be at a high income type +20. The income was listed as beeing in the positive yet i had zero cash and it never went up. <shrugs> It seems to work now however, so dont exactly know what happened.
And thanks for new version. :)

Thanks for the feedback, we will take a closer look at the infrastructural capacity bug.

Good good. Couple of more which you may allready be aware of but hey it never hurts.

The Executor ability iron grip lvl 3 info is wrong (i assume) it reads that from lvl 3 to 4 it goes 12 to 15% extra damage but from 10 to 50% extra damage taken, i assume its meant to read 15 instead of 50.

The empire altor fleet tenders repair abillity seem to be the same regardless of lvl. (meaning the txt dont change as you lvl it up)

isd2 fleet officer reads isd1.

and the sovereign crack mantle ability does nothing. :)

If you watch closely it does 1000 points of damage to a planets health.  With planets now able to have up to 12,000 health, I dare say it needs a bit of a buff, but it does work as intended (since it also states in it's tech that at lvl 1 it does 1000 points of damage.

Neither planet health nor population is damaged when you use the ability, unless there is something im not getting, its not working.
Unless the planetary shield prevents all damage? I do see a shield effect around the ai planet so maybe its that. <shrugs>

Maybe,  but I know I've seen it used before and saw health drop 1000, so figured it was working correctly, if not overly usefully.

Maybe its the lvl 4 that is bugged only <shrugs> that is what ive tested. If it works for others then my files must be corrupted or something which i doubt. But i do seem to recall it not working for lower lvl either, might be wrong there though. Anyway ive reported my find and thats all i can do.
