unfortunatly, for there to be no nukes EVERY piece of nuke, all the research and anyone smart enough to come up with another nuke would have to be chucked in a 2000 degree C furnace and melted into steel/research/people ingots to be dropped to the bottom of the mid atlantic ridge...

Thats ridiculous, without nukes wars would happen a hell of alot more often and more civilians would die, so far since the nuke came about there haven't been any major civilian deaths since the bombing of Japan
