New Godzilla Movie

So this weekend I went to go see the Godzilla movie (of course in IMAX 3D, how else). I was very pleased overall with the quality of the movie. They kept it people-centered (like the original 1954 movie) while still being a good ol' monster movie. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Honestly, I thought it was pretty bad. Nothing the people ever did mattered, in any way. My friend and I couldn't stop laughing from the point Godzilla vomited into the MUTO's mouth until the end of the movie.

Am i the only one who thought it odd the Navy EOD guy was HALO qualified and also didn'tddefuse a single bomb the whole movie?
