So after deliberating a while I downloaded this mod when it was at the 1.3 stage, and have been happily whiling away my hours ever since. From the faction intros to the UI, everything is just so darn professional looking! After trying my hand at sundry other mods, this one is still in my opinion No. 1. This mod also got me interested in the expanded universe, which I had previously ignored with extreme prejudice.
The last round of screenshots from Ascendancy on ModDB convinced me to try SOSE. I picked up Rebellion in a Steam sale a couple of days ago, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Getting utterly creamed, but enjoying it.
