i was wondering if there was any simple way i could put a custom ship into the game. kindve like a custom Flagship or somthing like that, but with using data already in the game.

If you mean design a ship ingame GalCiv, then no, but if you mean something like coding yourself a new hero, thenen yes. Just look at the Imperial_Remnant_Heroes, EotH_Heroes and New_Republic_Heroes xml files to see how they work.

well, i tried just testing, like renaming a hero, and it messed the hero up really bad. is there a way i can attach a Imperial Star Destroyer data to a hero and replace there current ship?

i was finally able to work out pretty much everything, but i just have 2 more questions

1. how do i make the ship to where i can only build one for the whole game?

2. is there a way i can make the ISD2 red?

oh wait, it works now, thanks. now all i have to do is make the ship red some how

You could try to make a texture on photoshop idk if corey will let you edit the Crimson command texture for that ship you said you added

Ah you are making a ISD hero and you are trying to get him to have a red paint to make him unique i take it?

Here.

Just extract it and put the .dds files into Art\Textures and the alo file into Art\Models. Then the model name in the code should be EV_Red.alo

Well the model has nothing to do with what it shoots. Our ISD I and II were based off of the same model pre-2.0.
