As far as books go, gotta say the X Wing series and the two Behind Enemy Lines of the NJO are my favorites

It depends what I'm looking for. If I want light-hearted, fun action/adventure, those books are hard to beat. If I want philosophical rumination along with spurts of dark badassery, I'll pick up a Stover book, as they do that the best. If I want grand plotting and universe building, Zahn's there.

So hard drive was dying on my desktop (it's the original hard drive from 6+ years ago when I built the pc). Was planning on replacing at the end of the year (wanted to give AMD's Zen a chance), but with having to replace the hard drive (went with a 960 GB SSD), I decided to go ahead and hold off on desktop full replacment for another 18 months or so to try second generation Zen. To whit, I just upgraded my aging GTX 760 2 GB to a GTX 970 4 GB to help games out along with the nice new SSD. While the processor isn't exactly top of the line (FX 8320 octa-core), it's still sufficient for all the games I play.

970 indeed is a good and reliable one. I have the 650 at the moment, but was thinking in upgrading to 970 too.

Funny thing is I used a cardboard box to sneak by my SF instructors back in my first year in the military so it does work.
Didn't make it through SF selection though so I guess I'm not as good as Snake either lol
