just a dumb question:
Why didn't people tried to make a barrier like on lego.
Making a planet a one way trip, just the other way it worked in the CW. nobody can enter.
Then build up an army of the battledroids remaining from the CIS combined with local militia and start expanding very VERY slowly, at first to only non populated planet to have a backdoor plan and use that planet's resources as well. Making a slow takedown of the empire.

I do enjoy the theory that those storm troopers were bad shots because vader ordered them to be. Especially since stormtroopers were actually the elite forces of the empire.
