There is no victory, no defeat. The last poster will inherit the title of Post Boss and whoever inherits the title of Post Boss will face an existence of endless posting...such is our fate.
well said, my friend. well said

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Re: Tector VS ISD1 or ISD2?
« on: March 04, 2018, 05:08:08 AM »
The difference in ISD I and II is their armament. ISD II has much heavier armament. ISD II is much better against Capital ships, while ISD I fares a bit better against smaller ones with it's ion cannons. Important to note that they both come with fighters.
Tector on the other hand, has no fighter escort, but has much heavier armament than ISD Is, and a similarly powerful but different use than ISD II.

if you have gameranger there might be an alternative solution as well.
First though, you have to make a backup of your entire FoC folder, then if you copy paste everything from the mod's folder into the main FoC folder and overwrite all.
With that ICW should start up instead of forces of corruption which in turn makes it semi-compatible with gameranger.
But save frequently because it causes a LOT of desync issues.
But if there is nothing else, there is always this method.

Yes. The GoG version is a bit problematic from that standpoint.
I think you should be able to rig it to work in multiplayer using tungle I believe, but I am not 100% sure.

Can I get some specifics?
like which version of the game do you have? CD, GOG or Steam?
Is the mod working in Singleplayer and such.

News & Updates / Re: [ICW 2.2] Era Progression Overhaul
« on: February 27, 2018, 09:36:47 AM »
About the SSDs, they will be nerfed. They will have less shields, and gain an engine hardpoint, so you will be able to stop it from retreating, or slow it down, and considering it's speed to begin with, it will make it much less useful.

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Re: Why is there 2 Thrawn's?
« on: February 27, 2018, 07:54:00 AM »
yeah but it's kinda weird killing him twice...
also, if you look at it carefully, while Thrawn is with the EotH he commands the Grey Wolf, while with the remnant the Chimaera.
So it's not so much killing him twice as much as You destroy his flagship once and then finish the job.
The returning Heroes all have the same treatment. They return in a different ship.

I really don't think that annoying someone is the right way to get what one wants.

The Lounge / Re: Processor

AMD processors had the same security problem as well. If they haven't pushed an update just like that out yet, they will very soon.
It will take the same hit as intel processors had, so basicly you are at square 1

It's really not that easy. If we would limit it to 40 secs, it needs to be powerful enough to be able to do something, yet not powerful enough to be OP. You say that they wouldn't be as manoeuverable, but then again the player(and AI) has to control them somhow, which might be hard. Especially how the AI would handle the ability and not just call it in any time it can.

About the alt history GCs I plan, I am able to speak freely, since those are ones I can do without a problem.
About the secret I am not talking about because I have a 90% chance of failing ( :D ) and I don't want to get people believing it's coming when it isn't.
At the moment I have 2 of them planned.
1, Where Ardus Kaine survives Shadow Hand.
2, Where Daala gives command to Pellaeon immediately realizing her lack of skills.

I tend to rate Intel a tiny bit higher if gaming is the primary intended use of the PC, as their processors tend to push individual cores a bit harder (and most games still aren't designed to run on more then 2-4 cores at most despite 10-core processors being released), while AMD's are a bit better for running multiple processes across the cores... but the differences are fairly minor in the end.  An Intel processor costing $500 is going to be pretty similar in overall performance to an AMD costing the same, though each will do certain things slightly better than the other.
not to mention that intel heats slightly less, which can come in handy when you push them to their limit.

And after 2.2 comes out, and if I have some time for it, We planned a few fun Infinities/Alt history GCs as well. I also plan on adding something new to the table, which is either works or fails very hard... But let it be our secret for the moment ;)

And the EotH domain is located in the galactic west(far left) on the map.
They are not in the 2.2 demo, but you can get a pretty good feeling of them in 2.15.
