Abilities just aren't that complicated. Almost all of it would be impossible.

I doubt it. The Katana fleet wasn't in hyperspace, it picked up a hive virus and everyone died..it was sitting in normal space for many years. And if everyone on a ship died or something while in hyperspace, it'd still drop out at it's destination. And failing that, it'd hit something. And failing that, the hyperdrive would eventually fail due to lack of maintenance/fuel. There's almost no chance of the last happening however, as there's very little chance it'd go that long without hitting something.

That way one lucky shot can kill thousands of troops. Yeah, that's a great idea. Just like the Titanic.

Then you can always just play the Palpatine GC, you don't have to play the Art of War GCs. The point of the Art of War GCs is that they are supposed to represent a realistic progression of the types of units available to each faction as time progresses. If you want to play as Palpatine in the Art of War GC, then just send off Isard and Thrawn to die. But the system is available for those who want to have a natural progression of eras.

Well the point is that you really don't want to progress eras as the Imperial Remnant. So you are forced to protect your leaders. But your leaders are usually the most powerful units you have. So by protecting your leader zealously, you are taking away your most powerful unit. So it's a trade off, and one I think works quite well.

Weaker than what? While the Executor was obviously more than a match for an ISD, it wasn't until the development of the MC80B 1.5 years after Endor that any other ship was able to almost match an ISD although it still couldn't quite do it. Then came the MC90 and the New Class ships, but the ISDII was still regarded as advanced and powerful well into the Vong War.

And obviously you aren't actually going by canon, so please stop saying that you are.

Uh no. The canon length for Home One is 1,300 meters. 300 meters less than an ISD. Canon Home One also only has 36 Turbolasers, and 36 Ion Cannons. The ISDI on the other hand has 6 Dual Heavy Turbolasers, 2 Dual Heavy Ion Cannons, 2 Quad Heavy Turbolasers, 3 Triple Medium Turbolasers, 2 Medium Turbolasers, 60 Heavy Turbolasers, and 60 Ion Cannons.

No. Not only do they eliminate half of everyone's units(Which is very overpowered), they never existed outside of EaW.

But of course they won't. And even correcting all the flaws wouldn't make a good game, so they better not be sitting around twiddling their thumbs.

Hopefully they won't be so stupid about the PC version this time. And general improvement all around too.

A new TIE Fighter would have been even better though..

Darth Revan. He controlled the Dark Side, it didn't control him. Can't say the same for most of them..

And KOTOR was just an awesome game.

Because no posts that are made in the Forum Games board are counted. This is because they are mainly...spam. To get in the Admiral's Lounge, you have to contribute to actual threads.

Everyone, hurry and celebrate the creation of Thrawn's Revenge's one thousandth topic!

Please leave comments on how long you expected the mod to last when you first joined, and think back on some topics you may remember as especially good.

Zeron? I thought you died?

Hmmmm. I joined back when IA2 and LoW were still up and running. I can't remember what I did but I remember Arbiter PM'ing me about something somwhere.

Arbiter, as soon as you're legal, come down to Kingston and we can have a drink.

I was struck down. I have become more powerful than you can even imagine. Well, if you have the imagination of a retarded spider monkey anyway. No offense to any retarded spider monkeys on the forum.

I was the third to join. Arb invited me to join and I was really, really bored. After Teck quit, I ended up setting up and shuffling the TR forums around everywhere until we finally got permission from Evaders to setup here. I lost interest a few times, halfway joined back up, and now I'm just hanging around.

You know, like the little brother your mom never told you about. It's not an oddly shaped lump like you think it is.

« on: November 10, 2009, 08:05:06 PM »
All those people you named are pretty important. TR has everyone that important already. The heroes you mention, and that typically aren't included, are the ones equivalent to individual commanders of important battles. Nice to know, but certainly not essential. Imagine reading a history book that included every minor detail like that, it'd have to be tens of thousands of pages...

While their super lasers can crack planets, it also renders them completely useless to anyone. Not the kind of thing a resource-starved IR would want. Thus, TR isn't bothering to implement it. And yes, it's also because it could be exploited fairly easily. But not only because of that.

He meant that the NR has a great deal of heroes already, and there is absolutely no need to add any more. It clutters the game up too much.

That's one. Any further posts in this topic must contribute to the discussion. No more talk about digging up old threads.

Not me. Unless I did it years ago. In which case it's shameful of you not to notice.
