Each of those bits of content has been planned and designed as the starting point for a dedicated, standalone mod covering the events from the Vong War to the Fate of the Jedi books, which we are calling Legacy of the Vong. If we only ever get far enough that the Vong become a fun end-game mechanic, then that's fine. If we get the content for a fleshed out Galactic Alliance, Yuuzhan Vong, Killik Nest, Chiss Ascendancy, Imperial Remnant and Confederation from the period, then that's even better.
Now this sounds cool. I would definitely be up for a Thrawn's Revenge mod set around the time of the Second Galactic Civil War.

Also, I like the concept art! The Hapan carrier and the Strident look super cool. Valerie is very talented...

Hapans! I'm looking forward to them, alright.

Does the tier 4 ship mean they're going to have an SSD? It never occurred to me that the Hapans would have an SSD...

Corey's already said that they won't add fanon ships as long as there are canon alternatives, so it's safe to say that's a no.

Hello and welcome. :)

As far as conversation goes, though, I wouldn't count on it lol. I'm afraid this isn't a very active forum...

Hello and welcome.  ;D

I have to admit that, in the years between ROTJ and TPM, i've become a fan of Star Trek as well. I don't really see the conflict between those that many seem to see, but that's just me.
Me too. I've never felt that someone should have to 'choose' between Star Wars and Star Trek; if you ask me, that's just childish tribalism. Just because you like one doesn't mean you like the other less, it just means you have a bigger selection of material to enjoy!

I think Fractal might've designed it from a a ship that was seen in like one panel of a comic somewhere. I'm 99% sure the name "Legator" is his doing. I don't know if the ship is described much in the EU.

As far as I know there's only the Firekiln and Whisperlike identified (barely) in Legends.
Those are great names, though.

I too am looking forward to playing as the Hapans. Will we be seeing ISD-sized Battle Dragons, then?

Nice! How's 2.3 coming along? Soontm?

Also if you've just won a battle over an enemy planet, leave a storm trooper in orbit and move right on to the next planet, you can stop the enemy from building a new station and if they come at you all you lost was a stormtrooper.
Stormtrooper be like "Why me?" lol

You can't change it in-game
Thanks, Captain Obvious. :P

I believe Panzerleader was asking the devs if they could add this feature into the mod. I think that's a really cool idea, actually. It is kinda frustrating when, for instance, star destroyers waste their main battery shots by firing at fighters when there's a Mon Cal cruiser sitting right in front of them.

Report it as a bug, and maybe next time don't frustrate yourself by trying 20 times. :P

Just set a pathfinder unit, see attached pic. That way only the ship you put in the slot will warp in at the start, leaving you with the decision of what ships you actually want to use.
@OP, this makes a huge difference. I almost always check to make sure I have a ship in the pathfinder slot before launching an attack; if I start a major battle and find out too late that I didn't have a pathfinder ship and my ships just jump in automatically, I usually retreat or load a previous save.

If things are happening too fast for you to manage, the pause button is your friend. I make use of it in a number of strategy games I play. Whenever you need to take a look at something (like a ships's health or an enemy hardpoint), or think about something, or perform a number of actions quickly, hit that pause button. It's in the bottom left corner of the screen, near the minimap. Give the orders you need to while the game's paused, then resume it once you're ready.

Also, NR likes their fighter/bomber spam, and it can be pretty deadly. That's part of how their faction works. To counter that, you'll need anti-fighter corvettes and plenty of your own fighters. I'm not overly familiar with the Imperial Remnant units, but presumably you can build some kind of carrier that'll spawn a few fighter squadrons of your own.

Planets and shipyards: On the galactic map, next to the minimap, there's a button which turns on the planetary info icons (or whatever they're called). I'd recommend turning that on each time you load a game. They are a bunch of icons next to each planet that'll tell you what level of shipyard can be built there and how many buildings can be built on the ground, as well as what level of shipyard is currently there and how buildings have been built. For instance, 3 shipyard icons means that a capital shipyard can be built at that planet, but if only 1 icon is lit, that means there's only a light frigate shipyard currently there.

I think capital ship guns like to fire at fighter squadrons. If you order them to target a specific ship, they seem more likely to focus their fire on it than if just let them shoot at whatever they like.
