What are some good books to read? I've X-Wing 1-8, NJO 1-7
Jedi Academy Trilogy, Han Solo Trilogy, Thrawn Trilogy, Shadows of the Empire and the first book of the Black Fleet Crisis. The Black Fleet Crisis seemed stupid and random, while Jedi Academy was also stupid. I like all the others.

You should finish the NJO, for me #1, #4, #5 & #6 are the worst of the serie and you are juste at the point of reading the best of the serie.
I can't also not advice I, Jedi even if it borrow part of its plot from the Jedi Academy Trilogy.

Also, the unofficial picture is missing something; the cutouts of the cockpit for side view field.

Indeed, here's quotes from I, Jedi :

The Invids used a form of custom-designed fighter called a Tri-fighter. It started with the ball cockpit and ion engine assembly of Seinar System’s basic TIE fighter—a commodity which, after hydrogen and stupidity, was the most plentiful in the galaxy—and married it to a trio of angular blades set 120 degrees apart. The bottom two served as landing gear, while the third came up over the top of the cockpit. The fighter still had the TIE’s twin lasers mounted beneath the cockpit, while the third tine sprouted an ion cannon. The ships also had some basic shields, which explained why they were more successful than your basic eyeball, and side viewports cut into the hull gave the pilot more visibility. Because the trio of tines looked as if they were grasping at the cockpit, we’d nicknamed the design "clutch".

Corran add later : The huge cockpit windscreen and peripheral panels provided a very good field of vision.

Anyway it will be a very good add and will make Greater Maldrood an even more unique faction

I am curious which are the factions I have not been able to identify with certainty, we have : New Republic, Pentastar Alignment, Empire of the Hand, Warlord Zsinj, Eriadu Authority, Greater Maldrood, Duskhan League, Hapes Consortium, Antemeridian Sector ?, Corporate Sector Authority, Zero Command, Prentioch's Dominion ?, Moruth Doole ? & Prentioch's Dominion ?

And also in the "Isard's Revenge" GC, the Ciutric Hegemony will be impersonated by the Empire like Zsinj in 2.1 ?
