For a little challenge, you can play ICW 2.2 Demo as the NR and use only the Solo Fleet for attack. It's 40 pop so it's sound not that hard but on my first try I got steam rolled by Terradoc and Tavira !

For those interested the fleet is : Solo, Rogue Squadron, Wraith Squadron, 2 winged MC80, 2 ISD-II, 1 ISD-I, 3 Nebulon B, 1 Quasar, 1 CR90 & 1 Maraudeur.

I made my own banner from the Maldrood/Terradoc one but with a fanart of Leonia Tavira ;D

I will maybe change when the Clutch Uglies will be available for Maldrood :)

Look I am not the only to have an issue with Zsinj death, still not as bad as some, but I was about to take Carida as Zsinj's Empire when Terradoc & Tavira attacked my Iron Fist over Centares which was defeated. My main task force was replaced by an Imperial fleet (on planetary position one) and face my ground troop (on planetary position two). So I've lost Trigit and some destroyers, bad bug, but good challenge for the futur :laugh:

In 2.1, I've always considered the ships of the New Class Modernisation Program inferior (maybe with the exception of the Nebula-class) to the Mon Cal designs (even without counting the awesome Home One), but that's particulary true for the Endurance-class. It costs 7500 creds, use a pop cap of 7 (!) and had a weak armement. Ok, it have 4/11 squadrons but still... I hope its pop cap will be scaled down with the new system of the 2.2.

The Bellator is way more original and interesting compared to the Assertor which is more an Executor variant than anything else.

For me too, The Essential Guide to Warfare and The Essential Atlas are holy books. That's sure the Clone Wars era had so much ground heroes for both sides but few space heroes. So I understand your pragmatic way for game design and how it transcend my dogmatic view of the timeline and the community. But I still prefer playing with heroes such as Durge and Quilan Vos than with Maul and Ashoka :P

My point was not about realism but about gameplay. If your ship is facing a Destroyer head on (where a Destroyer deals the most damages), you just have to microjump behind him (where a Destroyer deals less damages) and so you can destroy easly big ships with small ones. For me that's another advantage for the Player over the AI, I just hope that did not make the game too easy.

Sounds great but maybe it's too fast to load, particulary comparing to the retreat ability or the vanilla retreat. Also it would be very powerful, so you may consider to not allow to make to short jumps. It's not clearly explained (?) in the EU but jumps can't be infinitely short.

Well like the retreat ability I had to see on which ships it is and try it before telling more.

If some think the pre-2008 content is compatible with the 2008-2014 content, I urge to have a look at Nathan P. Butler's timeline : http://www.starwarsfanworks.com/timeline/download.html.

It explains clearly that you have to chose between the multimedia CW projet (CW cartoon, Republic,...) and TCW because they are absolutely incompatible (and TCW is hardly compatible with the rest of the Legends and I don't found it coherent with the movies at some points).

Ok, there's the pre-May 2013 retcons but most of them are stupid and they do not cover everything.

And yes Filoni and TCW destroyed this period, while Leland Chee and others were trying to heal the wounds with retcons. I ignored TCW since the "movie" until they put me the nose in it in FotJ. Only last year I had the fortitude to watch the show... For me this belongs to the Story Group Canon and should have nothing to do with Legends, trying to integrate it into the former Expanded Universe was the biggest masquerade ever saw in SW history.

For the FotR, frankly I am far less interested in it than in ICW, so I wouldn't be much bothered if the dev team chose to go for the TCW version but that would be a little sad as, if so it will be close to a Story Group Canon view of this period and that's the actual trend. It would be better for the Legends to still live a little through mods such as ICW.

I think the team planned a unique TIE unit for Maldrood, the Tri-Fighter (Clutch) of the Invids and it will replace the ARC-170.

It would be nice to have a unique TIE for each imperial splinter faction, like the Droid for Dark Empire and the Hunter for Pentestar.

If you aclaim the work of Bethesda, they will continue that way. By pointing them their work is far inferior to the one of Obsidian, I except one or the two following things :
 - Bethesda will improve and stop creating games with no soul
 - They will hire Obsidian to make another Fallout

I'm probably dreaming but it's sickening to have a good licence hickjacked, was it by Bethesda or by Disney :(

That sounds good and show well your knowledge of EaW's code by including a complex feature like this. I hope the AI will have this feature too in the future as I am worried that will make space battles even easier. But I have still to test it by myself to be sure of the real possibilities of this :)

I know it make not much sense to have her as serving one of the warlord. But at one point she was killed while fighting the "official" Empire (I am not sure of that, someone should check the original source). But I also know the dev team need heroes for the warlords, not to equal the NR or IR but at least have a decent number of them. So here's my long shot to help.

If it was the fan that was talking I would argue for Shadowspan, Judder Page, Horton Salm, Sair Yonka (could be used as hero for the IR and NR... if these factions would need heroes...), Areta Bell,... ;D

And for the factions, I think only the one that can have galactic or oversectorial ambitions should be playable but the most non-playable faction there is, the better :)
