Ascendancy Discussion / Hapan Fleet Doctrine

Hi, I know that they're pretty far off, but I've been wondering what the hapan fleet doctrine will be like. After some very cursory research I found that in the books, the hapans focused on overwhelming their opponents in battle. Can we expect weaker capital ships with a lot of frigate and cruiser support?

Will "From the Ground Up" be in fotr? What other infinities would be possible?

I'm curious how this would be handled. Would it be like ICW, and you have to kill a CIS leader to progress for the next era? I'm not that knowledgable about the clone wars, but I imagine that things continued around the CIS more than the Republic during that time period. Not to mention that the Republic technically got imperators and victorys so they would be benefiting more from tech changes.

something seems wrong with their firing arcs. They'll shoot at everything but what they're pointing at, which is a problem as they orient themselves facing their intended targets head on.

So I was playing maldrood, I still have yet to build a bellator so I figured I would start a game, rush kuat, and build one. I take kuat and build everything up. Two Bellators are in being built. unfortunately, I misunderstood that emergent factions appear no matter who holds the planet. I kill zinji and lose

2x Golan 3s                 = 10000
2x Golan 2s                 =  7000
1x Golan 1s                 =  2000
2x Bellators                 = 50000
2x Hypervelocity guns  = 6000
For a total of 75000 credits.

I then immediately retook the planet, realized I lost everything, and turned off the game.

I forgot to add in what I spent on the shipyards themselves,

Light = 600
Medium= 1200
Capital = 2200

Real total = 79000 credits

So say my fleet is too big, but I refuse to downsize it to the point that I lose money continuously until I have non left. what happens if I can't pay unit upkeep?

The tector is a fun ship to use in my humble opinion. I don't know how much work it takes, but maybe for the new texture, you could add some form of decal or marking so that they are easily distinguishable from other star destroyers.

I've been wondering for awhile, how does the game calculate how much money you get from mining facilities. It explains it pretty well for tax agencies but it just says "a substantial amount" in the description.

Imperial Civil War Tech Support / cannot reset direct 3d device

I keep getting a poppup that says "cannot reset the direct3d device" then it closes the game and I can't play. I get between 20 to 45 seconds in before this happens from anywhere in the game.

I use the steam version if it matters.

I've been thinking, that when I am sitting there trying to decide what gc I want to play, it would bee nice to know what planet each faction starts with. I recently did final imperial push, and I found out I controlled a section in the southern part of the galaxy that wasn't connected to the rest of my empire. If when you are looking at all the gray dots, when you are picking the gc, if those gray dots could be yellow, dar blue, green, and cyan, that would be nice.

So with the regicide feature in 2.2 where you can click a button and the era changes (which is pretty nifty if you're the remnant), I was thinking that maybe, that could be incorporated in ftgu to make it so that if you are playing remnant you can pick the era you want. Since I don't know anything about modding, I'm not sure how this would work, but would it be possible to place an asteroid belt (or just a planet with no ground) out in an area that cannot be reached by hyperspace routes, and have the leader spawn on it? This planet would ideally have a zero monthly income value, and with no way to get your leader to the main galaxy you could not use him/her, effectively eliminating the leader's existence from the game.

As a pentastar player, I throw in some podwalkers for anti air, some storm commandos for capturing things, and a buttload of hellfires.

So... the hapes consortium. I have a few questions, 1. do they have ground units? 2. do they invade planets outside of their little zone, and 3. will they ever be playable?

I've found that my ship's captains, even after getting into a perfect firing distance decide to continue to move their ships, which then due to pathfinding issues, causes them to turn around so that none of their guns are facing the enemy, and be destroyed. Anybody have a tip to fix this, is there something I'm not doing?

The problem is 1. Jerec is a ground hero and sometimes I forget that he is there, so I auto resolve the ground battle and lose a super star destroyer! 2. The vengeance looks really cool, but there is only 1! 3. The pentastar alignment (at least for me) relies too much on the praetor II (which is my favorite ship, but still) and it needs a bit more spice.

I don't need 50 of them, just let me build one or two please.

I saw a post for favorites, so we might as well look at the other end of the spectrum. My least favorite ship is the Sacheen. It can't kill anything and I prefer ships that spawn bombers personally.
