Star Wars Discussion / Star Wars games that aged well over the years
« on: September 05, 2015, 08:10:50 AM »
1. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast: The graphics are amazing (id Tech 3 at its finest), and the lightsaber combat system is spot on. The Multiplayer community is still going strong to this day.

2. Galactic Battlegrounds (w/ Clone Campaigns expansion): The Scenario Editor is an age-defying example of the game, as it allows players to experience the story of Revenge of the Sith. Hopefully we could also do the Battle of Jakku (the planet seen in the upcoming The Force Awakens)

3. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: Same with Jedi Outcast. However, the modding community is strong (Knights of the Force and Movie Duels being prominent examples).

The Lounge / Critical Role

Check out this web series. It features a lot of well known voice actors (Matthew Mercer, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey, etc.) playing D&D. Here's the first episode.

I need help, I installed vanilla EaW, but when I clicked Play Empire at War, there is an error saying it's not compatible with Windows 10.

Star Wars Discussion / Siege of Lothal (Recap)
« on: June 22, 2015, 03:06:43 PM »
The episode is pretty good so far. The Imperials really stepped up their game in trying to catch the Lothal rebels, and used every means to get the job done. Also, Vader is a tank, having soundly defeated Kanan and Ezra and having single-handedly crippled the rebel fleet all by himself.

Who is your favorite out of all the members of the Akatsuki?

When I play as the Empire, normally, when I finish up the Empire Strikes Back story on the Equal Footing scenario of Galactic Conquest (by capturing Hoth and Bespin), I would immediately go to Endor to start up the Return of the Jedi story after building up Death Squadron for the inevitable Rebel attack there, aimed at destroying the Death Star II and Emperor Palpatine (we all know how that ended in the movie). Once I engage the Rebel fleet over Endor (even using the Death Star II's Superlaser against said fleet), I would be faced with two options (even if Palpatine, Vader and Piett die during the battle).

1. Retreat from Endor (Results in Death Star II's destruction)

2. Destroying the Rebel Fleet, including Rogue Squadron

The Lounge / Remembering Kevin Seymour
« on: February 20, 2015, 05:31:48 PM »
It's a year since Kevin Seymour, head of Animaze and a truly amazing voice actor, died. He was responsible for dubbing Ghost in the Shell, Blood+, Cyborg 009, Code Geass, Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop and Akira.

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Endless Ship Spam (A.I.)
« on: January 01, 2015, 06:21:00 PM »
Throughout my playthrough of vanilla EaW and FOC, the enemy A.I., regardless of whatever difficulty I choose, might have an abnormally large number of ships that number in the hundreds (capital ships, cruisers, corvettes, etc.), in which they would continuously spam during a space battle (as exemplified with the continuous Imperial ship spam over Shola during the Zann Consortium campaign), therefore prolonging it (and in the worst case, wear your units out). If the same thing applied in this mod, that could result in a worst case scenario.

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Ship collisions (Kamikaze)
« on: December 09, 2014, 03:49:30 PM »
That would be an interesting feature. Sending your own ships and snubfighters on kamikaze collisions against the enemy during a space battle, though it may be too costly unless it's a last resort measure, since it depletes your unit count for every capital ship, corvette and frigate you deliberately crash against the enemy vessel or space station (fighters don't count, since they aren't part of said reinforcement count).

EaW and FoC Mods / Survival Mode (Endor)
« on: September 01, 2014, 04:20:10 AM »
It would be a perfect way to relive the Battle of Endor. Fighting an endless wave of Star Destroyers while enduring superlaser fire from the Death Star II would not be good when playing as the Rebels, though.

The easy way to relive the Empire Strikes Back story in the Galactic Conquest mode is to choose the Rim World Conflict scenario (as the Empire). In that scenario, the Consortium will be pretty easy to beat, so focus on them first even when upgrading through tech levels. After that, the Battle of Hoth and the Bespin subjugation (which composed the whole story of ESB) will be relived (only if those planets are saved for last).

Imperial Civil War Tech Support / Massing vessels
« on: August 25, 2014, 02:39:05 PM »
After I build up my force at Tech Level 5, whenever I fuse all my space forces (with hundreds of larger vessels and millions of starfighters) and send them into battle, I'm unable to call them in through the reinforcement icon.

Welcome to the Boards / Hello
« on: August 23, 2014, 04:03:38 PM »
I'm new to this forum. I have both Empire at War and Forces of Corruption, and I'm very impressed with them, particularly with Forces of Corruption, due to how easily the stories of the last two original trilogy movies can be relived in the Galactic Conquest mode. I'm willing to give any ideas for players to relive the stories of the EU, particularly with the Thrawn Trilogy novels (I have the first two, as I have yet to get The Last Command).
