I mean if we could make them unique like stealth units or able to hit behind enemy lines like pirate fleets/privateers, or gave them flamethrowers, grenades and bio weapons then I could get behind this, like recruitable Trandoshan Slavers for maldrood from Kashyyyk due to the connection with Moff Darcc, or the Slavers working for the PA corporations, or the Cavrillhu Pirates for Moff Disra. It could work, but it seems like it would be a better add on for a sub mod.
Yeah i agree with that... making that work but..I don't know lots about modding but it always seems about 5 units into changing the mod(icw) i just keep on getting problems like freezes or errors >:(

P.S. Mercenaries don't make a mod good or bad.
That's true it doesn't make a good or bad mod , it can make it more interesting if you can capture certain planets that produces specialized units.

Yes, I don't think they would really add anything new or ground breaking, economically they don't make sense either since the appeal of a Mercenary army is they are cheaper and faster to produce than professional troops you keep on retainer, which isn't a factor with the cost of standard light units(all mercenaries really would have in the SW universe) being so affordable already.
I disagree , I would not say the mando's and bounty hunters where cheap and they did specialized hits against certain targets,Wookies and trandosans fought for different sides during the star wars universe(the old universe before Disney screwed it up) and pirates and hutts raided fleets and also worked for different sides to and no one really knows what happened to ig88's army he was making.
Making some small units of a specialized merc squad available to sabotage (ships in orbit or buildings),raid the enemy in space or on the ground,Maybe put a bounty on a enemy (like in sins),or if you could make foc like the old rebellion game and add diplomacy , insurgency and quelling riots that would be awesome to.Making some ships and ground forces available only on specific worlds if you capture them.Not saying to add lots of new units , just certain ones would be cool.

Is it possible to add new raid fleets like maybe the pirates , mandos or hutts that attack? I know the mandos might be a stretch but the pirates and hutts where active during the civil war.Just a suggestion.

i would like to see it have more planets like 90 planets not just 50 planets it would make the game much more fun and it will take a while longer to meet the enemy @ Corey ...Can you make it bigger in 2.2 and add the yevetah ,penstar or the hapes as playable units to?

in the books i would have to say darth bane and zannah killing the 5 jedi in the first book, or vader and the dark woman .In the movies dooku vs Yoda in the clone wars or anakin and kenobi in rots on mustifar

can you or how do you change units in like "the stars align" and the era 1 gcs like putting a rebel era 5 ship into the game or adding more x-wings or adding anything that can be built in 2.1 basically not to many of course but how? can you do this? i can put the tector and imperial units in eoth in fact i have it there but its expensive lol but how can you change map units?

i know your not part of the team i am wondering what your going to do when it comes out will you be doing a sub-mod for it or nothing really i don't know if 2.2 is a new mod or just a patch i am only asking are you still doing more maps and more gc campaigns and will the one you made now work in 2.2 that's all

only thing i hate about the pa is you cant make fighters like the tie hunter why not? you should be able to make some fighters especially to counter nr and the eoth i wonder tho i asked Corey if he will add shadow droids but i guess they go to the ir not the pa :(

i love eoth bu the vong was the best series of books lucas arts brought out i am not happy about some deaths but it was good and if you guys ever do a vong mod god it would be so beautiful....and remember eoth knew about  the vong way before the nr knew about them they tried to tell luke and mara jade but like all jedi they think they know best and blew it off as it was nothing

p.s i would love to see you guys do a vong mod even tho i know you wont but its still a great idea tr has the best team for mods its that simple

rebellion -.....take your pick there is sooo many just so long as you either beef up the mc80 or get rid of it tell me one time you see that ship in 4 ,5 or 6 .... and anyway its a shitty ship 2 torbo lasers and 2 ion cannons against a star destroyer it sucks

Not likely to happen in this submod. You've got Combat Escort Carriers to provide TIE Hunters. Pentastar Alignment space unit list will see extensive changes in the next version with only a small number of universally buildable space units, but a large number of regional and/or limited availability units. They will also have several new planet-specific buildable space heroes, so if a guy like Victor Strang is added, he could possibly enable building of proton torpedo-equipped TIE Hunters.
