NR in era 1 isn't great. You are under the gun from the IR in the south and the Pentastar in the North. EoTH has the best position, best ground units (sides death lasers), and pretty good cap ships in era 1

Auto Resolve has always worked in the favor of battlecruisers. I think that auto resolve looks at Alliegances as if they are 1/2 or 1/3 an executor and assigns points accordingly. this is why in the base game you could send a fleet of 3 praetors and take out an executor easily. moral of the story is don't auto- resolve against battlecruisers. this is something that Corey and the team to my knowledge can't fix.

If i am understanding you question correctly then the gunboats are indeed in the game for both the PA and IR (era 3-5) they are not buyable, but they are able to spawn with certain frigates.
I do not know about the avenger though :/

Currently the Hapans only have a battle dragon a nova cruiser and the starfish ship (forgot the name XD) They would have to add more ships. But it is 2.3 and that is a year or more away so the team will have plenty of time to make it.

I think that the number of fighters should be reduced for ships. It really does highlight the need for anti-fighter. if you were to make 6 squadrons for 1 pop it would be OP. If they were 0 pop cap i could create a fleet of 100000000 fusion fighters and one gunship and have that gunship run away from everyone.

I think that the marauder is next to useless. The only way I use them is to assassinate the occasional lancer. But the ship is on the same level as the gunship in usefulness

Black Isle does not exist anymore lol. Bethesda bought fallout years ago when they went under and now its made by Bethesda or connected companies like Obsidian in the case of New Vegas

I personally haven't played F4 but i have about 600 hour in NV and i can say confidently that NV is the best that i have played so far. Many of the issues in NV is that it wasn't given enough time to finish. I love the fallout series but what I'm worried about is if Black Isle studios will be able to make F5 because of the NV. I don't think the two are comparable in a traditional sense, because there is so much different between the two. If i had to choose I would choose NV.

As much as I love watching the RotJ i hate watching the final fleet battle where the Empire loses to a handful of MC80 Liberties, and a suicide attack by an A wing. Or the emporer's Galaxy gun, it makes me frustrated that i can't see what these ships can actually do. The authors just can't find a reasonable method for the NR actually be able to take care of those ships so they make up some absurd method.

The Alliegance is not as powerful as the praetor so I think that some of the more powerful factions will get the praetor while maybe the IR will lose the praetor for the allegiance .

So I was screwing around with the PA and i realized that if you combine 5 jedi with 5 infantry you can auto resolve win any planet with ease. This method is extremely quick and easy, because all you need to do is build the troops. I understand there is a price penalty, but if i say have trouble on taking Duro (as i often do) i can just have a death stack of jedi and troops and easily take the surface with little to no loss. I just want to raise awarness to this idea since i find it interestingly concerning.

If dealing with praetors is your main issue than make it a priority to park outside of Byss or Parkir Minor and wait for era 3 then murder the living **** out of palatine, the PA isn't really a threat since they can't get anywhere with the Ir and Nr chipping them away right off the bat.

The PA is a fun faction to play. I think that if you play it right you can steamroll anyone with the praetors and endless venture fighter spam. the ground forces are great and i found that i could take out Duro with just 4 hail fire droids. However, whenever I play the PA in Art of War or Aftermath they don't seem to do much. they just hold their borders or crumble to the sorrounding factions. One time when i was EoTH on Era 1 the NR managed to completely steamroll them on ERA 1, when i managed to get back in that territory by Era 5 i saw that they still had both heroes and a mega fleet at Dubrillion. So i think that their AI needs to be tweaked

Why is it that whenever I play the Art Of War GC the PA almost never expands. they almost always get their asses kicked by the other AI. When i was EOTH i would treat them as if they were a warlord faction and would leave my border with them almost completely undefended. Why aren't they able to expand especially in era 1 when they have the pastor and two SSD advantage?

I can play on weekends and have a lot of hours on ICW and am willing to help, i haven't been active because i just found the forums:/, but am willing to post aton of feedback. I have been following Corey's play through on Greater Maldrood for some time so i know somewhat what to expect
