Title: Multiplayer stable?

My friend and I are trying to play Ascendancy116 vie steam multiplayer.
Our problem is, that either one of us diconnects right at the start of the game, of after 15-20 min.
+ we have over all synch errors that occur every couple of minutes and than the whole game freezes.
