In my playthroughs I've noticed numerous random warlord heroes; I would note that only the Greater Maldrood and Eraidu Authority have the ability to recruit them; so I was wondering if it would be possible to mod the game so that another faction could recruit them if they took that planet; for example if I play a New Republic campaign and take Elrood; would it be possible for me as a player to recruit Tandra Pryl and the other hero who's name escapes me at the moment if I were to do such a thing; if not feasible make it so they can be recruited from Elrood and added to my roster; personally I'd like to have an incinditive where if any faction defeats one of these independent heroes they can recruit them to their side.

The GM and EA aren't the only factions to be able to recruit heroes based on a planet. The PA and Zsinj can also do this. As to the question of if an alternate faction can recruit that hero by taking the planet, the answer is no. The reason for this is those minor heroes that can be recruited either had ties to the faction they can be vassals to or would have had that faction linked up with them. For instance there was communication between Grand Admiral Pecatti Syn and the GM, it wouldn't make sense for him to join the NR if they took Kashyyyk(as historically they killed him there) and many of the other minors fall into a similar rationale.

I didn't mean in the mod as it stands is it possible to make adjustments via scripting or a restricted planetary recruitment option to do that in game and how difficult would that be?

You would have to have some knowledge about LUA scripting and story scripting.

Ok Corey can you post a tutorial for that I could easily figure it out if taught
