Title: faction bonuses
Post by: Vlado87 on October 19, 2018, 03:47:57 PM
Something similarly as in Age of empires II, every civ have special bonuses.

You can made something for youre mod so we do not have anymore many factions with same/similarly ships/fighters.

In main building (building give 2000 resurses) put some bonuses for that faction.

Bonuses can be in %. Bonuses: attack, defense, shields, range, economy, LOS, speed, building speed, cost...

That's more difficult to implement than you'd think, and generally people would expect the same ships to behave similarly. Faction differences are better off expressed in a different way.

If it is hard than ok ;) but it would be nice to have something similar.

Maybe you can made something for heroes (you have already something similar but for all ships in battle but can you made that for just some ships so with this you can made more different ) and something for buildings(those super space station can have maybe bonus attack for some ships and for some not).

Maybe negative bonus if it is possible :D

How about a bonus any group can build Lucrehulk-class Battleship if they control Bonadan, Ession, Etti IV? for me bonuses would be additional units.

Like Pirate Asteroid Base or Leonia Tavira popping up in The Art of War, Essence of War and Empire’s End for Malrood or whomever owns planet\Star system X

Bonuses that maybe beneficial or not depending on which faction you have chosen.

no, for then their not unique anymore.

in the past Vulcanus made a mod where the PA got that, but since we don't want a bunch of overlap, the factions only get what makes sense for their doctrine or were known to use large numbers of said units. the point is diversity
