Did a quick video on the sing;e-unit retreat function coming up in ICW 2.2 and FotR 0.5 while prepping for my EotH preview campaign to kick off.

God-damned fantastic work, that's a big change. :)
-
lovely.
side note: are you doing the Era-Progressive GCs for EoTH, NR, and IR?
-
completely unrelated, but the yevetha look really scary
-
This is pretty cool, but i have some questions.
1. Is the ability tied to the engine hardpoint?
2. Is it blocked by the gravity well generator?
3. Carrier spam?
-
1. Yes
2. Yes.
3. Eventually no.
side note: are you doing the Era-Progressive GCs for EoTH, NR, and IR?
No, they won't be done until last so I wouldn't really be able to. Gonna be Empires at War, Bacta War and Shadow Hand probably.
-
When is the Empire of the Hand letplay coming out.
-
It's looking like it'll start next Thursday or saturday.
-
Bacta War for NR? why not like the Crimson empire or Thrawn campaign for them?
-
Variety, basically. Bacta War is shorter, has some different features, and can still show off some of the newer NR stuff. Thrawn Campaign is the only GC from 2.1 that's basically untouched except a few planet changes so it's not the best to show off very much, and Crimson Empire is a more Warlord-centric Shadow Hand, so I'd rather not do that if it looks like IR and NR will be back to back.
-
That sounds good and show well your knowledge of EaW's code by including a complex feature like this. I hope the AI will have this feature too in the future as I am worried that will make space battles even easier. But I have still to test it by myself to be sure of the real possibilities of this :)

This is going to be huge. Great work.
Is the population cap now 60?
-
Yes, but it's not strictly an "increased" pop cap. Basically, you can have a similar number of capital ships as before, but it allows us more room to balance out the smaller ships. We used to have to fit pretty much everything below ISD into 1, 2 or 3 pop cap, which got messy. Now we can space that out a bit more. SSDs also can now comfortably take up (usually) more than half your pop cap while still having a not-insignificant supporting fleet, especially of smaller ships.

Thank you for the information.
